Excellent window display in G-Star store on Carnaby Street at the moment. I never realised that they were into corporate social responsibility, but apparently they are...

"Our customers expect G-Star products to be of high quality, fashionable and well crafted. But at the same time they seek the reassurance of knowing that the clothing they chose is manufactured in an environmentally and socially responsible way. A reassurance G-Star is most willing to give.

In fact, G-Star has that genuine ambition to contribute to a better world by guaranteeing good working conditions in the factories, developing more sustainable products and reducing our impact on the environment. That is why we created a dedicated CSR Department, whose ultimate goal is to embed CSR right into the heart of our business. An important process in which we aim for continuous improvement."

And now they have launched into a number of other initiatives including their campaign for ending world poverty. Not sure how much of the hefty ticket price goes into these causes, but I'm happier knowing that some fat cat isn't taking all the money. Good on G-Star for sharing the wealth.

They have just partnered with: http://endpoverty2015.org/
